How to do links

Stardoll  often glitches scenerys, that´s why making links are always useful, you can also use them for many things. Here there are quick steps to make a link!
1) Once you have finished your scenery, BEFORE saving it(here´s when glitches can happen) press the  "Impr Pant Pet Sis" or "PrtSc" or "Prnt Scrn SysRq" key depending on your computer, it´s this one:

2) Open "Paint" or any other software of the sort and press the key "ctrl" togheter with the key "V" to paste the image of the printscreen. You´ll have an image of the whole screen.
3) Cut the pieces of the image you don´t need. For example if you want to printscreen a scenery, leave only the scenery to have a better and neater presentation. Then save that image as a file.
4) Go to a website where you can post images for free such as imgur or tynipic. Upload your image to that site and they will give you a link to that image.
5)Now you have that link you are ready to show your image where you wish to!

Any doubt?

Posing tutorial

Don´t know how to pose?
I did a tutorial with images, enjoy it!

1) Choose a background and your medoll.

2) I recommend you to look for inpiration. Look for images in google, or any page you want. This will also help you with realism, to make sure it´s a real pose (you can do it yourself in front of the mirror too) and with proportions. You don´t need to copy the image, but it can inspire and create a similar pose or not. For example:

3) Then take out all the dolls you would need to do the pose. What I did below is choose a size and then make all the dolls look the same how? I have a "trick" to make them look exactly the same, I count how many clicks on the "+" sign I did to create the first size, and then did the same number of clicks to change the sizes of the other dolls. This will help you with proportions, as everything would be the same size.

4) Then position the dolls below the principal one, in the way you need to create the pose you want.

5)There are parts that we don´t need and the scene seems confusing, you don´t have to do this, but here I mark the parts that we need, and what pose I´m looking for, for you to see it clearer:

6) Now we can start covering the parts we don´t need, but I´m going to put the clothes first. Choose the clothes(dress in this case)  you would like to use.(You can also do your clothes out of interior items, but I want to show you how to use clothes as items). Look at the dress, It has the size, layer and angle bars, like an item because it isn´t touching the medoll, so you can make it any size, layer or angle.

7) So, make the dress big and place it as near to the medoll as possible, without touching the principal medoll or any other because if not the dress will place in the medoll body with it´s size, layer and angle and no longer work as an item (without the background it´s easier to see where the medolls are so I can avoid touching them more easily, that´s why I´m placing the clothes and then the background, but you can do it as you wish it:))

8) Then change it´s size place and angle to make it fit the medoll.

9) I´m doing the background with black stardesign squares as they are plain and perfect to create a background, but you can create backgrounds with anything else you wish.

10) Look, this image is to show you, that if you use the dress as item, you can place black squares below it.

11) Then with the black squares, cover the parts you don´t need. Oh! We have pointy elbows(as I marked with the red circles). We have to round them off with more black squares, as many as you need!

12) Voila! I finish rounding off the elbows, I also saw there was a litlle problem with the proportions of the lengths of the arms so I changed them at this stage to make them look right.

 13) To finish the scene off, I added a cool background with the screens and lights to create the atmosphere and style. If you wanna do a link(see upper tutorial) wich I recommend because stardoll glitches a lot the scenerys, and you don´t want a ruined work, this is the perfect stage, when it´s finished before saving the scene. Hope you like it:)

  1. This is an awesome tutorial. I found it REALLY helpful - thanks for posting it! :D However, when making a link and therefore a glitch free version of your scenery, do you have any way to do it on a mac? Mine doesn't have the print screen key, or paint, and I'm unsure of how to do it.

    Again, thanks!

    1. Use smaller squares and rotate them until you have them in different angles then place them, as many as you need in different angles, over the elbows so you can make them round. Try to do it and if you keep confused I´ll try to exaplint it better :)
